Bitcoin Slumps to $70,000, Down 4% in 24 Hours; Liquidations Top $750M

Bitcoin dropped to $70,000, losing about 4% in the past day, with $750 million in total liquidations — the majority from long positions. Ethereum held near $2,000, and traditional markets like the Nasdaq and S&P 500 posted gains.

Bitcoin fell to the $70,000 level during the latest trading session, a decline of roughly 4% over the past 24 hours. The last time prices were seen at this level was in early April.

Over the same period, total liquidation volumes reached $750 million, with approximately $631 million coming from long positions. Ethereum showed relative resilience, trading around $2,000.

Bitcoin was among the few assets to record a notable drawdown, while traditional equity indices such as the Nasdaq and S&P 500 moved higher.
