Draft US-Iran MOU Outlines Mutual Concessions, Excludes Israel

A leaked draft Memorandum of Understanding between the US and Iran proposes a framework for mutual concessions, including Iran halting weapons development and reopening the Strait of Hormuz, while the US offers temporary sanctions relief and lifts the blockade. Israel is excluded from the draft.

A draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the United States and Iran has surfaced, detailing reciprocal commitments. Under the terms, Iran would cease pursuing weapon development and agree to engagement on enrichment issues. In return, the US would temporarily waive sanctions and grant incremental relief. Iran would also release partial assets and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while the US would lift its blockade—benefiting both sides.

Notably, the draft excludes Israel. Iran would be required to withdraw local forces, and the US would cap force levels. The draft also includes provisions regarding Lebanon. Israel has excluded itself from the agreement, which appears to favor Iran in certain aspects.
