Eurozone Sentix Investor Confidence Expected to Improve Slightly in June

The June Sentix investor confidence index for the euro area is forecast to rise to -14.6 from -16.4 in May, extending a modest rebound, though sentiment remains depressed amid high inflation and weak growth. Renewed Iran uncertainty and rising Fed rate hike expectations also weigh on the outlook.

EURUSD

Markets are watching the release of the June Sentix investor confidence index for the euro area today. The consensus sees an improvement to -14.6 from -16.4 in May, continuing last month's positive momentum.

Despite the expected uptick, overall sentiment stays pessimistic due to persistently high inflation and sluggish economic growth. Meanwhile, renewed geopolitical uncertainty surrounding Iran and growing speculation about further Federal Reserve rate hikes are adding to headwinds for the euro.

The combination of external risks and domestic pressures keeps the euro under pressure, with traders awaiting the actual Sentix print for near-term direction.
