PBOC sets USD/CNY reference rate at 6.8109, lower than previous fix

The People's Bank of China set the USD/CNY central parity rate at 6.8109 on Friday, down from 6.8150 the previous day.

USDCNY

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) fixed the USD/CNY reference rate at 6.8109 for the trading session, compared to the previous fix of 6.8150. The new rate is also notably lower than the 6.7640 estimate from Reuters. This adjustment reflects the PBOC's management of the yuan's daily trading band.
