Russia's Finance Ministry to Buy Currency and Gold Worth 208.2B Rubles June 5-July 6

Russia's Ministry of Finance will purchase foreign currency and gold totaling 208.2 billion rubles from June 5 to July 6 under the budget rule, with net daily currency purchases of 5.3 billion rubles.

Russia's Ministry of Finance (Minfin) announced it will conduct foreign currency and gold purchases from June 5 to July 6 under the budget rule. The total purchase volume is set at 208.2 billion rubles, averaging 9.9 billion rubles per day when including central bank operations.

After accounting for central bank operations, net daily currency purchases will amount to 5.3 billion rubles. These operations are part of Russia's fiscal framework aimed at stabilizing the economy and managing oil revenue fluctuations.
