Russian Homebuilder Stocks Plummet Up to 66%, Average Down 30%

Shares of Russia's largest homebuilders have declined by nearly a third on average over the past year, with Samolet falling 66% and Etalon down 55%, according to Izvestia. The construction sector is in a difficult position but not yet in crisis, experts say.

Shares of Russia's biggest homebuilders have lost nearly a third of their value over the past year, according to a report by Izvestia. Samolet saw the steepest decline at 66%, followed by Etalon at 55%, while LSR Group dropped 16%. Most of the decline occurred in 2026.

The construction sector is currently under significant pressure, but analysts quoted by Izvestia stop short of calling the situation a full-blown crisis. The report highlights ongoing challenges for the industry amid broader economic headwinds.
