USD/CAD Rises as US NFP Beats Forecasts, Offsetting Canadian Jobs Data
The USD/CAD pair rose to near 1.3930 on Friday as stronger-than-expected US Nonfarm Payrolls data boosted the US dollar, outweighing support from solid Canadian employment figures.

The US dollar gained ground on Friday after the Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report came in stronger than expected, pushing the USD/CAD pair higher. The pair traded near the 1.3930 region.
Canadian employment data was also solid, but that was not enough to support the Canadian dollar against the broadly stronger greenback. Market focus now turns to the reaction of the Bank of Canada and Federal Reserve to the latest labor market prints.
