💰 A US high school student has been linked to the theft of nearly 1,000 BTC (~$90 million) after gaining access to client funds from Unchained, according to an investigation.

Per the findings, the teenager carried out the theft using credentials belonging to his father, who worked at a government agency responsible for recovering stolen assets.

Following the hack, the suspect drew attention through extravagant and conspicuous spending, which ultimately led to his de-anonymization and identification.
